Tahoma 31 is one of the more popular premium cultivars of bermuda grass currently. It is equal in many aspects to TifTuf bermuda grass, and is scored equal in NTEP tests. It is more popular than other premium cutivars like Iron Cutter but more affordable than TifEagle.
The data from the Tahoma 31 broshures of course promotes Tahoma as the best in terms of shade, spring green-up and drought tollerance but in reality, even though it’s one of the best, it’s on par with some others.

It costs about $275 a pallet ($0.55 per sqft) from Buena Vista Turf Farm plus $150 delivery. Buena Vista Turf Farm is the only licensed grower in Dallas-Fort Worth area, and most sod stores that sell Tahoma 31 in North Texas get it from them. To find a list of licensed growers, you can find it on the Tahoma 31 website.
